The studio we’ve built over the years has given us a peaceful and well equipped environment. We’ve taken time to find specific pieces of hardware that have both earthy sonics, and functional longevity for the future. It’s who we are by nature - we want to take forward the best of the old, and the best of the new.

We have developed relationship with incredible string players, and can provide live string ensembles recorded direct to picture.



Approach to Film Scoring

I have an easy going personality, and work diligently. I generally write best to a strong edit, although many times I’ve worked with film that’s in its early stages of development. For commercials and branded content, once time is booked in my schedule, I typically turn around a first draft in two days, and we progress quickly to the finished product together.

Once we have mapped out a clear path for the score - I write with a view to harness live acoustic instruments, hardware synthesis and solo/ensemble players. We rarely use sample instruments in the final work. Every film has musicians uniquely express their music live direct to picture, investing into the film’s impact and longevity.

Artisan, is a word I’d use to describe my process. I naturally resonate with films that have a raw, human dimension to their narrative and subjects.
